In this online course facilitated by Dr. Alison Sheesley and Stephanie Jones, you will learn everything you need to know about how to start comedy therapy groups of your own!
We have absolutely loved facilitating our comedy therapy groups and want to share everything we have learned!
Topics include: mastering the intake process and selecting group members; laying out the format for each group session; creating the safest possible space for group creativity to blossom; enhancing group cohesion; managing group dynamics; partnering with a comedy theater and improv coach; designing a therapeutic improv experience; developing marketing materials; and importantly, discerning ethical considerations.
As part of the course materials, we will provide you with templates and session plans in Word document and PDF format, covering everything you need to start running your own comedy therapy group.

Consultation and Supervision
Stephanie and I are available for consultation, supervision, and encouragement as you start to facilitate your own comedy therapy group.
Because of our specialized education, expertise, and experience, our joint consultation rate is $150/50-minutes. We can answer a lot of questions and give you a lot of guidance in that time. To schedule, just email alison@comedyistherapy.com.
